Moving forward....

Latest news?

Have started training for April's 3 marathons in 3 weekends and feeling good regards the running. Averaging about 50 miles a week at the moment, will be doing 60-70 come the New Year. You have probably all guessed by now that I love running but trust me running to help children with disabilities makes it even better. If I can reach my £6000 target it wont be without your help though.

Have a venue booked for the charity auction with Rosie Swales Pope confirmed as guest speaker and live music. Still sourcing auction and raffle items but they are slowly trickling through. Please let me know if you think you can get your hands on anything. Event is February 19th 7-12PM and tickets are £10 a head, including a finger buffet or hog roast. Just some of the prizes/items up for grabs at the moment include signed memorabilia from top snooker players, Enzo Maccarinelli and Laurel and Hardy plus cricket tickets, hotel rooms and meals in exclusive restaurants amongst others. Just message me if you want to know anything to do with the event.

Have a meeting booked before Christmas with local race organiser so will have the ball rolling for the track marathon very soon, hoping to get 20 people to run it with me, plus 20 more running a chosen number of laps. Again if your interested give me a shout. £20 for full marathon, £10 anything up to 50 laps. Maybe you know someone who may want to have a stall at the funday?

Will be posting on here a lot more come the New Year to let you all know how things are progressing but for now you can email me on mattoo.rogerson@btopenworld.com to book a marathon place or an auction ticket or find out how to donate an auction item/raffle prize. Plus here are the direct charity donation links again, remember it is The Children's Trust, PhabKids and Heol Goffa School it is all in aid of. You will have to send a cheque or cash for a ticket or to donate to Heol Goffa school though....

See you all soon and have a Merry Christmas if I don't see you before!
